Description

The day dawns in Colombia first, and Papua New Guinea second. The light leeches down into both the valleys, dappled and mottled through the leaves of the coffee plantations. The collective farmers are out at first light, sampling their crops and harvesting their cherries. The hillsides of arabica plants are known for their depth and complexity of flavours.

These beans are grown at a very high altitude, between 1600 and 1900 above sea level. The perfect altitude for producing coffee beans that taste incredibly fruity, and have some occasional floral flavours.

Once harvested, the fresh coffee cherries are pushed through an underwater machine, which strips the pulp and exposes the green bean underneath. This process will only enhance the fruity flavours that the coffee lends itself to.

Carefully roasted by the Roaster in New Zealand, the fresh beans are delivered to your door by Bean Merchant. Built for the pour-over brewing method, these freshly roasted coffee beans will suit a v60, chemex, drip, or even the good old plunger.

You’ll find a mix of flavours in this bag of fresh coffee. Fruit, floral, and almost wine like notes will be accompanied by a sweet aftertaste. The body of this coffee will be light, tea like, and will match itself well to an afternoon sweet treat.
